About Therapy

2014862189Let’s start with you…

Many of my clients have traumatic backgrounds or experiences that left them feeling guarded and unsafe.

On the one hand, they’re longing to begin therapy. But on the other, they’re nervous, scared, and unsure how their therapist will react to them. They want to share but don’t know what’s appropriate… or if they’ll feel safe.

Consciously or unconsciously, they fear being a burden, being judged, or being rejected by the therapist – probably because that’s what happened with authority figures when they were growing up.

This is your safe space.

I aim to create a safe, welcoming atmosphere from the beginning.

My communication style is respectful, accommodating, and empathic.

I want you to feel comfortable and safe talking to me about anything, knowing that I’ll view you with unconditional positive regard.

You get to do therapy on YOUR terms. You decide how little or how much you feel comfortable sharing at the beginning. No matter what, you’ll be treated with the utmost respect and complete acceptance.

Your only job is to show up as you.

1850447272Is transformation possible?

The answer is yes… absolutely… 100%. I know because I’ve seen it time and again.

Here’s what I’ve seen my clients do:

Overcome social anxiety to being confident and assertive…

Transform toxic family dynamics into healthy relationships where their boundaries were respected…

Turn constant self-deprecation into loving, nurturing, and accepting themselves…

Go from being overwhelmed and stressed at work to living a balanced life…

Make the change from being stuck in grief to balancing “living fully and grieving fully”…

Go from being anxious and on edge to peaceful and grounded…

Change self-doubt into self-assurance…

Transform depression and disconnection into a happy, fully engaged life…

Here’s how therapy got them there…

It made them aware of the power inside them.

They learned to trust themselves and search within for their own guidance and answers.

Therapy gave them the space to face their challenges and navigate the ups and downs with more confidence and ease.

It opened a space for balance and play to enter their life.

Doing these things makes you feel happier with who you are and the life you’re creating.

2208835389Therapy is your soul’s life journey.

And on this journey, you’ll be equipped with the wisdom and tools to enjoy it – not just reach your destination.

I’ll support you every step of the way. You won’t have to navigate the storm alone.

You’ll choose your destination. Once you get there, you’ll find yourself ready and able to keep growing and evolving physically, mentally, and spiritually.

You CAN live life from a higher place: your authentic self. You’ll then be your own guide… and might not need me.

But until then, it would be my honor to be a part of your journey and transformation!

This CAN work for you, but…

I’m going to be very honest and transparent: None of this will happen if you don’t show up to therapy on an ongoing basis and practice what we discuss.

If you don’t put in the work, you can be certain that your life will remain the same or even get worse.

Therapy is not a magic pill. Like anything important or worth doing, it requires time, commitment, dedication, and practice.

Therapy is a process; change is not something that happens overnight.

But you CAN do it, and I’m here to help. Let’s embark on this journey. Call today, and we’ll schedule your free consultation: (323) 765-7027.

About Me

AdminHello… my name is Liliana Londono.

I am a bilingual (English and Spanish) Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) based in Los Angeles, California, working with clients statewide via telehealth.

I work with adults and specialize in treating anxiety, stress, and mood disorders.

I use Jungian Psychology and Somatic Experiencing as my main therapeutic approaches to help my clients make progress and start feeling better.

My journey to becoming a therapist…

It started with my inquisitive nature and innate desire to help others.

I’ve been asking myself the deeper questions of life since I was very young: Who am I? Why are we here? Why do some people struggle more than others?

The adults in my life didn’t have many answers, so I had to become a student of life. A part of that journey was becoming a therapist, and I’ve been doing it for over 20 years.

Some of my professional focus points…

I’ve studied psychology and therapy (Somatic Experiencing, grief and loss, Jungian Psychology, and Motivational Interviewing, to name a few).

I’m also a Reiki practitioner (Levels I, II, and III) and a life coach, incorporating spiritual principles, Eastern philosophy, and mindfulness into my work.

My mission is to grow and evolve as a soul and help others do the same so they can live a fulfilled life.

When I am not working or learning something new…

You can find me singing in my car while driving or dancing to the beat of a salsa song.

I also enjoy doing things outdoors, like hiking or walking.

I love taking pictures – especially of architecture or beautiful scenery.

Finally, I like spending time with my friends and family!
