Frequently Asked Questions

Do you offer in-person sessions?

No, I provide telehealth services through a HIPAA-compliant, secured video platform.

My clients and I find it more convenient, less time-consuming, and just as effective as in-person sessions.

What is your cancellation policy?
If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, I require at least 24 hours’ notice. You will be charged for the full session if you notify me outside that window.
Do you take insurance?

No, I’m a private-pay, out-of-network provider.

Insurance companies can be very bureaucratic: They want to interfere with your treatment and don’t operate within your best interest.

What forms of payment do you accept?
I accept Zelle and cash. If you prefer to pay with a different method, please ask, and we’ll see what’s possible.
How long are sessions?

Sessions last 50 minutes.

You’re responsible for the full fee, regardless of whether you’re running late or unable to stay for the whole session (of course, I don’t expect this to occur often).

Can you write me an Emotional Support Animal (ESA)?

No, I do not provide any letters at all. If you need a therapist to provide you with a letter for ESAs or any other matter, you will benefit from a different therapist who offers that service.

Who is your ideal client?
I am a great match with clients who want to alleviate their symptoms and take a more holistic, in-depth approach to their mental health.
Do you work with children, teens, families, or couples?

No. I did in the early stages of my career, and I appreciated having the experience of working with different populations.

But right now, I am more passionate about working with adult individuals.

What challenges do your clients typically face?

The most typical are related to unresolved childhood issues, emotional distress, interpersonal relationships, and work or life stressors.

These challenges can manifest as anxiety, depression, stress, somatic symptoms, or an “existential crisis.”

What modalities do you use?

My primary modalities are Jungian Psychology and Somatic Experiencing.

But I’m also “eclectic” because I borrow from various therapy models and tailor therapy to your unique needs.

What does a client need to know when working with you?

This work can be very spiritual. I’m not speaking about religion… but rather a state of being that brings you bliss and makes you feel centered.

Who was your TV childhood hero?
Wonder Woman. I loved her so much! I believed I might turn into her if I kept spinning as she did!
Do you think in English or Spanish?
I think in Spanglish. Sometimes, I can’t remember how to say something in either English or Spanish. Yikes!
Do you believe in God?

I do, but I respect people who don’t.

I don’t think you have to believe in God to be spiritual. You can find spirituality by connecting to nature, your spirit, or anything that makes your heart sing.

What’s one goal you’ve yet to accomplish?
I want to be fluent in French!
